Toner Recycling Programs, Both Local and Mail-Off

You don’t need to leave your office chair to get great service for most anything these days. Those mail-off toner recycling programs are the same way. They let you mail off your empty cartridges and get a bit of cash in return. The mail-off services aren’t new, but previously, they were offered as an in-store service at office supply stores. Now there are many more of them located virtually, letting you access them online or just by mailing out a bag full of used cartridges.

There are major differences between the in-store toner recycling programs and the mail-off programs. The first one is convenience. Both of these programs offer their own sort of ease and simplicity. For the in-store programs, there is no need to wait. You don’t need to fill up a bag of cartridges in order to get rid of them. Any time you have some cartridges you want to get out of your office, take them in. If you visit an office supply store often, this can be easy to handle. If you don’t, then mailing in your old cartridges might be the more convenient option.

The mail-in toner cartridge recycling programs do have the perk of paying for your cartridges. If any of the in-store programs offer cash, they are rare. The mail-in programs often do offer a bit of dough as an incentive to use their program. The money isn’t a large sum, but it’s enough of a draw for most people to use them.

Those sorts of programs that pay are often just looking for certain types of cartridges and do not accept anything off of their cartridge lists. If you are trying to keep some plastic out of the trash, this can be a real turn-off. It means finding yet another program to recycle those other cartridges with, which is just another thing to add to your to-do list.
